Behind The Wall by JAYS

JAYS underground campaign, Behind The Wall, was a public binaural sound installation created to make a buzz without shouting. Using headphone jacks placed in selected locations, it dares curious by-passers to experience what actually goes on behind the wall. Check out the sounds after the jump!

Instead of telling people to buy JAYS headphones, a sound experience was created to show the benefit of high quality sound. Without headphones you can not experience the binaural sound, hence the connection between the installation and the product.

Sometime in fall 2010, I came across hundreds of newspaper clippings of Swedish jazz singer Alice Babs. I thought it was interesting that someone could become so obsessed over her that I believed it was a good idea to try it too. Over the past few months and counting, I have formed my own Babs Cult. In the 1940s, Babs Cult members were known as “the foot and mouth disease to cultural life.” I hope to keep that stigma alive…
